So I dropped out of calculus today. After 2 tests and being so lost I couldn't even stand it anymore I just quit. Alot of the problem is from how I learned in high school, FORMULA SHEETS! Here apparently high schools don't do that, so everyone remembers all the formulas and I don't because I never bothered to memorize them. So on a test and I randomly need to know something, like a trig identity (the complicated ones they told us not to bother memorizing in high school), I have no idea.
I guess I technically didn't drop out, but I talked to the Dean and transferred into pre-calculus. It sounds like high school pre-cal...yeah... But at least I'll learn it the proper way this time and not rely on formula sheets. I'm almost 2 weeks behind in that class now, but I'm hoping it will be easy to catch up since I've done 85% of the material before. Tomorrow will be my first time in that class... all I'm hoping is that I don't walk in on a test day... -_-
